I weigh 165 pounds and I am about 5 feet and 7 and half inches tall. I have some fat on my lower abdominal area (lower stomach) that I want to get rid of, and I also want to work on my six pack. What is the fastest way to get rid of that fat ( I like to run) and what type(s) of sit ups work best?

there really are no excersizes that will slim down just your lower abdomin…running is the best. you lose overall body fat. and if you do situps and run, then you can build muscle and lose the fat at the same time.

How can I lose excess fat around my abdominal region and my thighs?

I recently lost around 25 pounds. I have fat around my thighs and my abdominal area. Those are the main/worst parts. Are there any exercises that I could do with a jump rope, bench press, or dumbbells that would work both these areas or would push ups and crunches help?

I stayed away from junk food as much as possible.

Walked for 10 min. everyday.

Lifted weights.

Drank a few bottles of water everyday.

Eating a healthy diet with regular exercise will help you lose weight. You need to increase your walking time. Try walking for 30-60 minutes, 4-5 times a week. Also, do situps and crunches. Keep up your water drinking habits.

I am 5′8" and used to weigh a healthy 11 stone.I now weigh just over 13 stone but most of my weight is on my stomach to the point where I look 5 months pregnant! Im going to start eating healthily and exercising more but is there a specific exercise that is by far the best for the stomach or will this fat never go ? Im almost 30 by the way :)

well first, crunches and sit ups may cause you to have a bigger somach as you build up muscle through doing them. (this is what people usually think of when they want a flat stomach <crunches/sit ups etc>)
FAT IS NOT TURNED TO MUSCLE. so you tend to build muscle beneath the layer of fat on your tummy and it may appear larger than before.
THIS IS WHY CARDIO IS IMPORTANT – IT BURNS THE FAT!
just do running/jogging/biking/swimming/skipping for 20 mins to start with, then gradually move up to 30, then 40 and so on.
(bear in mind that you have to change your workout routine after a while, because if you don’t you will keep on using the same muscle groups and will build muscleinstead of burning fat; therefore your workouts should be challenging – like different lengths of time and different intensities and try to do varied exercises to engage all muscle groups)

substitute – walk or bike instead of taking a car/bus
take the stairs instead of a lift – run up

water – drink at least 2 litres of it /day. It prevents dehydration therefeore water isn’t stored in your body (bloating stomach and places around ankles and all that lot), + it detoxifines the body and therefore helps to speed up metabolism

are carbs making it difficult to lose my abdominal fat?

im 15 and 5′6 134 pounds and i know i know im not fat but i really want to lose the fat on my stomach. im in cross country and run everyday for at least 30 minutes and i do crunches too. i eat fairly healthy and mostly stay away from sweets but i love bread, i eat alot of it at least 2 slices a day with peanut butter and i only eat whole grain. i also love foods like spagetti, and pizza. so im wondering , are these foods making it hard to lose my stomach fat? 10 points to best answer!

i think they may have something to do with it expecially since they have a lot of salt in them and salt makes you retain water……try cutting down on the bread and that may healp you. also pizza is very greasy so that can’t be good either, but i do know that spagettie gives you a lo of energy (i cant remember what it was, but it is something good) if you eat it the night before a game….my soccer coach told me that. hope this helps but if it does not you may also want to do a couple of crunches sometimes, and swimming is realy good for you becuause if works all the muscles in your body. hope this helps! :)
